The Commandment of Being Baptized

Why do we need to be baptized?

Today, like in days of Jesus Christ, exist some principles and ordinances of gospel that we need to learn and needs to abide by. One principle of the gospel is the believe or for one true teaching. A ordinance it is a rite or it is a ceremony, the the first two principles of gospel are the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and regret of our sins. The baptism is the first ordinance of gospel. One of instructions that the Lord gave his Apostles was:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28: 19-20)
