Exists one God

What are some of things of God which show to you what God exists?

Alma, one prophet of Book Of Mormon, wrote: "Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and call things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator". (Alma 30:44)

The Commandment of Being Baptized

Why do we need to be baptized?

Today, like in days of Jesus Christ, exist some principles and ordinances of gospel that we need to learn and needs to abide by. One principle of the gospel is the believe or for one true teaching. A ordinance it is a rite or it is a ceremony, the the first two principles of gospel are the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and regret of our sins. The baptism is the first ordinance of gospel. One of instructions that the Lord gave his Apostles was:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
" (Matthew 28: 19-20)

Baptism

batismo

The fourth Article of Faith states that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormons, "believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost."

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints practices baptism by immersion in water. Baptism is typically performed in a special baptismal font and is symbolic of burial and rebirth as a disciple of Jesus Christ. (To reinforce the symbolism of rebirth, baptismal fonts are always below ground level.) Like many Christians, Mormons believe that a person who repents and is baptized has all prior sins remitted.

08:46 Posted by: Mormon Missionary 0 comments

Mormon missionaries dedicate themselves to the instruction that Jesus Christ left His disciples in Matthew 28:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the eend of the world. Amen."

Young Men and Women as Mormon Missionaries

08:45 Posted by: Mormon Missionary 0 comments

Starting at the age of 19, young men in the Mormon Church are encouraged to serve as missionaries; young women are also invited to serve if they desire at the age of 21. A mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints lasts approximately 24 months for young men and 18 months for young women. After significant preparation and study, these young men and women send in a letter and form to the headquarters of the Mormon Church acknowledging their interest and readiness to serve a mission. Within a few weeks, they receive a letter in response from the President of the Church calling them to serve in an assigned mission around the world. Within a couple months, these newly called Mormon missionaries attend a Missionary Training Center (MTC) for approximately 3 weeks if they are called to a mission where they will speak their native language. If the missionary has been called to serve speaking a foreign language, these missionaries usually spend approximately 8-12 weeks in the MTC to gain more language training.

Meet The Church | Conheça a Igreja

05:40 Posted by: Mormon Missionary 0 comments

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (abbreviated as the LDS Church, commonly referred to as the Mormon Church) is a restorationist Christian church, and the largest denomination originating from the Latter Day Saint movement founded by Joseph Smith, Jr. circa 1830. The church is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, and has established congregations (called wards or branches) worldwide. Adherents are usually referred to as Mormons, Latter-day Saints, or LDS. They view faith in Jesus Christ as the central tenet of their religion.

Latter-day Saints are often considered by other faiths to be a non-traditional member of Christianity despite their belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the world. LDS Church theology includes the Christian doctrine of salvation only through Jesus Christ. The church has an open canon which includes four scriptural texts: the Bible (both Old and New Testaments), the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. Other than the Bible, the majority of the LDS canon constitutes revelation dictated by Joseph Smith and includes commentary and exegesis about the Bible, texts described as lost parts of the Bible, and other works believed to be written by ancient prophets. Latter-day Saints believe that Jesus leads the church by revealing his will to the President of the Church, whom they sustain as a modern-day prophet, seer, and revelator. Individual members are expected to receive personal revelation from God for specifics in conducting their lives. The President heads a hierarchical structure with various levels reaching down to local congregations. Male bishops, drawn from the laity, lead local congregations. Worthy male members, after age 12, may be ordained to the priesthood. Women do not hold positions within the priesthood but serve in an array of other leadership roles.

Both men and women may serve as missionaries, and the church maintains a large missionary program which proselytizes and conducts humanitarian service worldwide. Faithful members adhere to laws regarding sexual purity, health, fasting, and Sabbath-day observance. Members also voluntarily tithe, donating 10 percent of their income to the church.
